Paul Myzia was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He became fascinated with film at a young age, and started studying, and practicing film when he was old enough to hold a camera. He came very close to dying at 11 years of age, when diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and lost a cousin to suicide at age 18. After years of self-taught filmmaking, trial and error, college courses, and entrepreneurship, he started the production company Reel Clef, producing short, inspirational films - with the long-term goal of uplifting narratives that speak to the human condition, and the value of life. Myzia now resides in Nashville, TN, with his wife and 2 children. He writes and directs his own films, and edits for others' films.
